It's A Wonderful Knife is the latest release from RLJE and Shudder. It promised to restore our hopes in a good old classic Christmas slasher. But did it meet our expectations?
Here's the synopsis from imdb: "After saving her town from a psychotic killer, Winnie Carruthers' life is less than wonderful. When she wishes she'd never been born, she finds herself in a nightmare parallel universe where without her, things could be much, much worse."
The movie was written by Michael Kennedy and directed by Tyler MacIntyre. It stars Jane Widdop, Joel McHale, Justin Long, and Jess McLeod.
What We Liked:
- The film harnesses the Christmas vibes perfectly with scenery and music
- Justin Long and Joel McHale delivery great performances
- The overall concept for the movie
- The look of the angel killer
What We Didn't Like:
- The writing
- All of the other performances
- Pacing
- Some of the kills were weak or didn't make sense
- Decisions made by the main character
