Overlook Film Festival 2025: What We Can't Stop Thinking About

Overlook Film Festival 2025 is kicking off next month in New Orleans. The festival takes place April 3rd-6th and celebrates all things horror. The fest is committed to showcasing exciting work in new and classic independent horror cinema alongside the latest in interactive and live shows for a fully immersive weekend. If that isn't enough to get you excited, check out their full lineup of films being presented.

Here's a look at what we here at In Love with Horror, are excited about:

CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD dir. Eli Craig

The residents of Kettle Springs can’t catch a break. Nothing has ever been the same since the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down and now a mysterious, grinning figure has emerged from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time.

40 ACRES dir. R.T. Thorne

Hailey Freeman, a ferocious matriarch and former soldier hellbent on protecting her family and their farmland from a band of marauding cannibals in a world ravaged by plague and famine. Thriving in survival mode, the Freemans must draw blood to secure their future and preserve the legacy of their past.

ABRAHAM’S BOYS- World Premiere dir. Natasha Kermani

Following the events of Dracula, Abraham van Helsing moves his two sons, Max and Rudy, to the US in an attempt to escape their past. It does not work.

BEST WISHES TO ALL  dir. Yûta Shimotsu

A young nursing student gets an unexpectedly twisted dose of reality when she visits her grandparents in the countryside, only to uncover the secrets to their exceedingly happy life.

We are also looking forward to celebrating and screening of Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight with director, Ernest Dickerson in attendance. Before the screening, Dickerson will be awarded with the 2025 Master of Horror Award.

The festival will also host a tribute to David Lynch by showcasing his short-form roots spanning back to his art school days years before and during the making of Eraserhead. Films included are: Sick Men Getting Sick (1967), The Alphabet (1968), The Grandmother (1970), and more.

The Overlook Film Festival is jam-packed with gems that any horror lover would want to devour. Get your tickets and passes and see you at camp!
