Scope Screenings Underground Film Festival: "Where the Seattle Freeze Doesn't Exist"

Scope Screenings, an underground film festival in Seattle, had its opening night on June 25th at the SIFF Egyptian Theater. Scope Screenings showcases a mix of diverse short films, music videos, feature trailers, documentaries, and other short form content. The festival is set to take place monthly from June until December on the last Tuesday of the month with doors opening at 6:30pm.

Lex, the founder of Scope Screenings, wants to bring creatives together and cultivate a space "where the Seattle freeze doesn't exist". And being seated in the theater for opening night, I'd say he has achieved exactly that.

The opening night program was a mix of experimental short films, music videos and documentaries. Following each presentation, the creators behind the project was given space on stage to share about their project and the people that helped put it together.
