Brooklyn Horror Film Festival 2025: Here's What We're Looking Forward To
Share
The countdown is on for this year’s Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, taking over New York from October 17–24, 2025 with another stacked lineup of bold, bloody, and boundary-pushing genre cinema.
Celebrating its tenth year, BHFF continues to be one of the most exciting horror festivals in the country. It blends indie innovation, diverse voices, and a deep love for the genre that makes it truly feel like home for horror fans.
This year’s lineup is packed with some heavy hitters like The Creep Tapes: Season 2 and Dust Bunny. It also features indie films such as Camp, a film about a girl who decides to go to a remote Christian summer camp to work as a counselor for the summer; Incomplete Chairs, a haunting story about a craftsman who is obsessed with crafting the perfect chair; Lucid, a film about young art student that takes an underground drug that has adverse effects; and Parasomnia, which follows a girl who believes the demon in her night terrors followed her from her dreams.

One of the biggest highlights for us this year is the Blerdy Massacre panel featuring Ernest Dickerson, the visionary behind Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, Bones, and Juice. It’s a celebration of Black horror, creativity, and legacy that we’re not missing for anything. And for those who love a good throwback, the festival is rolling out a screening of Def by Temptation and Sugar Hill (in 35mm), two cult classics that showcase Black horror excellence on the big screen.
For us, covering Brooklyn Horror Film Festival isn’t just about watching the next great horror film (though we’re definitely doing that). It’s about championing new voices, connecting with the horror community, and celebrating the films that remind us why we fell in love with the genre in the first place.
Stay tuned here and on our socials as we’ll be dropping first impressions and highlights from the fest.
